The Wingfield Caravan Park

The Wingfield Caravan Park is located in the picturesque village of Montford Bridge, just off the main A5 and only 3 miles from Shrewsbury.

Set in the rural county of Shropshire on the banks of the River Severn. We are a family run and maintained holiday home, Caravan & Camping park.

We offer facilities for both Camping and Touring caravans including a shower block and hard standing with electric hook ups for caravans. The park is also protected by security barriers for extra peace of mind. Holiday Homes are also available for purchase on our newly developed static site.

Our customers can enjoy a best of both worlds at the Wingfield caravan park. The scenic park boasts an attractive riverside setting yet is conveniently located adjacent to a wonderful countryside pub. There are a number of long country trails all within walking distance and an array of cycling routes. The site which has a bus stop on its front door, is close to Shrewsbury town centre and the by-pass to North and Mid Wales, therefore ideally located for those wishing to enjoy the varied attractions and rural delights of Shropshire and the Welsh Marches.

The family run caravan park offers a great balance between quality and value for money for the discerning holidaymaker.

Our camping field is located on the banks of the River Severn with fantastic scenery and easy access to the river for canoeists and fishermen. We have a total of 22 pitches available which can accommodate a variety of tents. The facilities are close to all camping pitches making the location ideal for families or couples.

The spacious touring area is well landscaped and maintained with trees, shrubs and hedges. We cater for all touring caravans, motorhomes and R.V's all pitches are hard standing and fully serviced with water, electric and night light. All of which can be booked on a nightly or seasonal basis.

Owning a holiday home on The Wingfield Caravan Park couldn't be easier. The small and peaceful park sites 13 holiday home pitches in total. Throughout the park there are a number of available pitches on which to site a brand new holiday home of your choice, with double glazing, central heating and modern decor, caravans and lodges make the perfect weekend retreat. The park itself is an ideal getaway, you can enjoy a relaxing afternoons fishing on the river Severn, take a gentle stroll through the neighbouring countryside or enjoy a beverage in the Wingfield Arms.

If you wish to explore further, there are many gardens, national trust properties and bustling market towns within the local area. The facilities on site include a heated toilet/shower block with free hot running water. Entry to the shower block is controlled with a key which you will be allocated with upon arrival for a small cash deposit of £10 which will then be returned to you on the safe return of the key when you depart.

We also have a washing up area, Elsan waste disposal point, water point, rubbish and recycling point. At the entrance to the caravan park you will find a caravan park reception/holiday home sales office and general information point.

For your safety we also have a security barrier in place on entry to our holiday home and caravan fields. The barrier is controlled by a key fob which you will be allocated on you arrival for a cash deposit of £20 which will then be returned to you on the safe return on the key fob when you depart.
