Expanded facilities attracting new members to Love2Live

Membership numbers continue to rise at a Shrewsbury fitness and wellness centre following the expansion of its facilities.

The state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio at Love2Live, based at Salop Leisure’s multi-million-pound Love2Stay glamping and caravanning resort at Emstrey, has doubled in size.

It’s led to a surge in new members attracted by the bespoke service provided by Love2Live’s team of specialist fitness instructors.

Chris Skitt, who is leading the health, wellness and leisure services, said: “There’s been an impressive uptake from the local community since our new and expanded facilities opened earlier this year.

"Membership numbers are increasing all the time, with members enjoying the enhanced facilities and atmosphere.

"There’s very much a community feel and the feedback we are receiving is excellent.

“My primary short term role when I joined the team was to build an environment and a facility where people can come and train. We want to provide a unique, bespoke facility.

"It’s about a wider service, the holistic service of wellness and lifestyle, and building a community where everybody’s engaged in each other’s journey."

Love2Live runs more than 40 classes a week and the open gym space is accessible 15 hours a day.

A 250 square metre gymnasium and studio represents an investment of £150,000, enhancing the impressive range of facilities and activities at Love2Stay, which include a natural Biotop swimming pool - the largest of its kind in Europe - outdoor hot tubs, restaurant, treatment rooms, a bootcamp and large children's adventure play area.

Chris added: “We have an anytime gym offer between 6am and 9pm when members can come and use what they have learned from the classes and build that into their own workout.

“In addition, we have a fantastic bootcamp area with an assault course which we make full use of, with an average of 25 people attending each Saturday morning at 7.30am. It’s just bringing a different offering into the fitness world.”
