pleasant countryside: being only a small but well spaced park, it promises idyllic solitude. Its

unique characteristics are, the glorious surroundings of the Herefordshire and Radnorshire

countryside, from the verdant and scenic Golden Valley, the dramatic Black Mountains and

spectacular Brecon Beacons, to the serenity of the calm River Wye. If you love the natural

beauty of agricultural landscapes, you will be enchanted by the locality.

maintained grounds. Delight in owning your private second home to which you can escape,

whenever you wish to completely unwind.

Hay-on-Wye's history extends back to Norman times from which the name Hay, meaning fenced or

hedged enclosure, eludes to its then strategic importance. Hay is renowned globally as the Town

of Books, due to its vast array of second hand book stores, however there is also a wide variety of

galleries, antique shops, gift shops, taverns, tea rooms, etc., offering an extensive choice for the

discerning visitor. During the world famous Hay Festival of Literature, the town is host to

eminent visitors from all corners of the planet.
