Black streaks on caravans are the bain of most touring caravan or motorhome owners. It's an issue you get with every caravan or motorhome, old or new. Watch our review on Fenwick's Black streak remover.
Hello. and welcome to the second edition of Caravan Friday.
One of the more common questions we get asked by our customers is how to remove, and stop from coming back, black streaks on their caravans and motorhomes. So today, we're going to be looking at Fenwick's Caravan and Motorhome Black Streak Remover.
As you can see, here we have a caravan with the tell-tale black streaks. Fenwick's Caravan Cleaner, if used properly, should remove these streaks and hopefully long-term reduce the amount of cleaning you have to do.
So, you simply start off by spraying liberally with the Black Streak Remover. Now, the key to any cleaning product is to leave it to soak in. Let it do its work. So, normally you'd leave that for probably about one to two minutes before you start to agitate it with a microfiber cloth or a sponge.
As you can see, Fenwick's has done a great job of removing the black marks. Long-term, you can make your life a lot easier by trying to kill the cause of the black marks. Now, that comes down to oxidization on the rubbers. So, if you were to get yourself your Fenwick's product and a toothbrush, and actually work it into the rubbers, that will remove your oxidization off the front of the rubbers and then reduce the amount of cleaning you'll have to do long-term. It does involve a little bit of elbow grease, but well worth it down the line. It should keep black streaks away hopefully for about two months.
