Description

The Woodlands Caravan Park and Camping Site is nestled amongst some of the most beautiful coutryside Wales has to offer. This unspoilt area remains a hidden gem and offers peace and quiet for those who want to relax and enjoy the scenery and nature in it's natural habitat.

There is a lovely gift shop and tearoom on our park which serves home made cakes and meals from 9.a.m. It also sells a small selection of groceries and quality local produce. We do not have a clubhouse but we are conveniently located 5 minutes walk from the famous village of Devil's Bridge where you will find a friendly hotel/pub serving good quality food. As well as the spectacular 300 ft waterfalls in the village, a narrow gauge steam railway runs its scenic journey between Aberystwyth and Devils Bridge which is a very popular tourist attraction.

For those who like walking, there are gentle and more challenging walks to take straight from the park. On days when you want to be out and about you can spend time on the coast enjoying the sea and beaches nearby and tryout the boat trips on offer. Alternatively you could stay inland and explore rural Mid Wales with its many interesting market towns and small villages. Drive into the Cambrian Mountains to see the spectacular Elan Valley and view the beautiful reservoirs. Within 10 miles drive of the park there is river fishing, stocked fishing lakes, horseriding and golf. 5 miles away, at Nant Yr Arian nature reserve, there are walks of various distances and a tea room and play area with views over the lakes. There is also the chance to see Red Kites being fed on a daily basis and the opportunity to use the mountain biking tracks.

The university town of Aberystwyth is only a 20 minute drive away and has plenty of things to do including cinemas, museums, castle, theatre, tennis courts, restaurants and supermarkets. The town leisure centre has a 25m pool, squash courts, gym and soft play area. The seafront is an ideal place to enjoy an ice-cream and a gentle stroll along the prom.

Why not visit us and see what's on offer for yourselves. By discovering us, you will discover quality time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Step back and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Create wonderful memories with your family and make new friends at the family run Woodlands Caravan Park.

Plots available. Will consider customers bringing on their own caravan. Please email or phone for details.

Directions
More than likely the last part of your journey will be on the A44. Turn off the A44 at Ponterwyd (12 miles East of Aberystwyth) onto the A4120. As you enter the village of Devils Bridge we are on the left hand side of the road. You will see our life size statue of a horse at the entrance. If you are travelling on the coast road towards Aberystwyth on the A487, turn right onto A4120 signposted to Devils Bridge. After 12 miles you will reach Devils Bridge. Drive through the village, over the bridge, and we are situated 350 yards on the right.
