Apprenticeships are an excellent way to gain a nationally recognised qualification and practical hands-on work experience all whilst earning a wage which will not be less than the Apprenticeship Rate.
Apprenticeships are designed to allow you to ‘earn while you learn’ with most of your time spent at your workplace and usually one day per week at Reaseheath. Training you in the skills employers want: apprenticeships give you choices in your career. Applicants will need to meet the minimim National Apprenticeship Scheme qualifications and aged between 16 - 24.
Job role: Plant retail apprentice required for specialist plant centre to join a dedicated team and be trained in all aspects of plant retailing. You will learn methods of plant care and maintenance, pest and disease identification, treatment and stock merchandising. The role includes the following tasks:
• Maintenance of plants ensuring stock is top quality
• Watering, pruning, weeding, feeding of stock
• Merchandising plant stock to create seasonal displays
• Ensuring the plant area is kept well presented at all times
• Giving excellent service to our customers
• Using touch screen till
• Ensure all pricing and signage is correct
• Assisting with stock takes
• Basic PC use
• Checking off deliveries
Training will be undertaken at Reaseheath College, Nantwich on day release (transport can be arranged).
