In a major boost, the club has announced that the meeting will be filmed for television and shown a few weeks after the event on Sky Channel Motors TV UK.
Already signed up are two World Championship contenders in the MX1 class. Belgian Clement Desalle takes to the circuit on the factory 450cc Suzuki and faces a newcomer to the MX1 class in the shape of Frenchman Gautier Paulin on a 450cc Kawasaki.
The entry is littered with a host of top Grand Prix riders and the best from the UK, all looking for a good start to the season.
Practice on the Sunday begins at 9am, with the first international race due to begin at 12 noon. There will also be many trade stands at this event, which add to the interest on the day.
The £20 entrance charge for adults has been the same for the last two years and children under 14 are admitted free. Hawkstone is situated 10 miles north of Shrewsbury off the A49 Shrewsbury to Whitchurch road and the A53 Shrewsbury to Market Drayton road and will be well signposted.
Hawk Plant Hire, which specialises in rentals to the construction and agricultural industries, supplies all the plant for HIMX and has supported the event for more than 20 years.
"It’s our major local motor sport event and we are delighted to be associated with it," said Hawk Plant Hire director John Smith. "We will have extra interest this year as we are also sponsoring Ray Rowson from Pontesbury, who rides for LPE Kawasaki and is competing in the World Championship, British Championship and Red Bull Championships."
Salop Leisure will be providing a touring caravan for use as a check in centre for riders. Marketing manager Scott Higgins said he was delighted with the high profile the company received at the HIMX in 2011 and looked forward to promoting caravanning to thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts again this year.
"Most of the riders either own a touring caravan or motorhome, which they use when competing in different events," he explained. "The Hawkstone Park event provides a great platform to showcase our products and brand to riders and supporters."
